Yui Mom Group teamed up with Regent Hotels Group and opened the boutique art hotel Silks Club in 2017, establishing the major Japanese fine dining brands of Ukai-tei and Dassai in Taiwan with their first restaurants to open outside Japan. Following on from its success last year, and on its 21st anniversary in May 2018, Shao Yung Tian, the chairman of Yui Mom Group again partnered with Masaki Ukai, the representative director of Ukai, for a new project to work with Breeze Group to open a restaurant in Breeze Nan Shan in Taipei, signing the contract at Ukai’s Tokyo headquarters. It was Yui Mom Group’s determination and persistence in making Silks Club Kaohsiung a premium hotel experience that changed Ukai Group’s mind, who otherwise had little interest in expanding business abroad. The Ukai director commented that they have built a solid business relationship with the Yui Mom Group, and share a similar ethos of achieving perfection and attention to detail, which is why they feel confident to bring authentic Ukai hospitality to gourmets in Taipei.
