Blue Blue Ocean

The sea is a simple and approachable subject for artists. Here the artist attempts to depict the vastness of the ocean in a terse composition that utilizes simple techniques.

The work depicts a view at Taiwan’s northeast coast, interpreted via the artist’s perception and conception of the ocean. The small island in the distance tempts people to want to dive in and explore. The blue sea that takes up most of the painting sparkles in the sun, bringing viewers a sense of calm and allowing them to carry on a dialog with the ocean in their imagination.
