This work is expresses an image of ocean. My thinking is connected directly to my starting point. I engaged in creative work for over a decade after coming up from the south, and often pushed myself to keep moving on, like a legless bird flying endlessly because there are no other choices. Lately, however, I have been reminding myself to learn to stop and look inward. To my surprise, my thinking about creation has gradually become clear.

To record this circumstance, I came up with this work “Compass” which permanently points toward my starting point, the south.
