Between Existence and Being

Room 2605|Eastern Gouache 81 x 118 cm 2015

This work is inspired from Japanese kanji "木漏"(pronounced as 'komoreb') which means that, in the morning woods, sunshine falls silently through leaves and branches and creates random illumination of light and shade.
It is a microcosmic image of the macrocosm --- being vs. nonbeing, and virtual vs. reality.
And the painter uses the conception of "purification" to compose the arrangement of the picture that produces a sense of lonely contemplation and a feeling of tranquility, coziness and lightness.
