Reservation / Cancellation Policy

Regular reservation
Special festival menu reservations ( eg: Xmas, New Year, etc.)
  • Charge the guest $1,000 per person as a deposit.

  • Cancel the reservation within 24 hours would charge 100%
  • of the deposit.
  • Cancel the reservation before 24 hours would charge 50% of the deposit.

  • Cancel the reservation before 48 hours, the deposit will be used for any reservation within 3 months.

  • Cancel the reservation before 72 hours would charge 0% of the deposit.
  • Charge the guest 50% of the set menu selling price per person as a deposit.

  • Cancel the reservation within 24 hours would charge 100%
  • of the deposit.
  • Cancel the reservation before 24 hours would charge 50% of the deposit.

  • Cancel the reservation before 48 hours, the deposit will be used for any reservation within 3 months.

  • Cancel the reservation before 72 hours would charge 0% of the deposit.

Other Term & Condition
  • For cancellations of special events (eg. Charter service, Guest Chef events…etc) made in 7 days prior to the event, will incur 50% of deposit as penalty.
  • Cancellation fee will be used for any reservation within 3 months if it is difficult for customers to arrive due to interruption of public transportation or bad weather.
  • No show and no contact us, we will charge 100% of the deposit.
  • Same cancellation fee will be charged if there is a reduction in the number of people.
  • As the seating is limited, please contact us beforehand by telephone if there is an increase in the number of people.
  • Dress code is Smart Causal. Shorts and sandals are not allowed for gentlemen. Slippers are not allowed for ladies.
  • Customers only above the age of 10 are welcomed ( charter service is excluded )

Executive chef at Ukai-tei Kaohsiung

Classically trained executive chef at Ukai-tei Kaohsiung, Yuki Tanabe developed his French cooking techniques at renowned restaurants in France. Having joined UKAI group in 2011 he spent the next ten years honing his craft in various Teppanyaki restaurants including Hachioji Ukai-tei, Yokohama Ukai-tei and Omotesando Ukai-tei.

With an imaginative and inventive menu that unites a passion for Japanese craftmanship with a knowledge of classic French cooking, guests can experience an unrivalled fine dining adventure at Grill Ukai and Ukai-tei Kaohsiung.
